Program Description

Event Details

In 1989, passionate advocates began a determined effort to protect Long Island’s Pine Barrens—safeguarding drinking water, fragile ecosystems, and vital wildlife habitats. Their dedication led to a major victory in 1993 with the passage of the Pine Barrens Protection Act. Following a compelling three-part documentary series highlighting this grassroots movement, co-founder and board member John Turner will join us via Zoom for a live Q&A session.
